Warranty

The Limited Warranty period for a Phiston Technologies covered product is a specified, fixed period of time commencing on the date of purchase. The date on your sales receipt is the date of purchase unless Phiston or your reseller informs you otherwise in writing.

The Phiston® brand of covered products, as supplied and distributed by Phiston Technologies, Inc., and delivered new, in the original packing to the original consumer purchaser, is warranted by Phiston against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for the periods described below

Parts: During the one-year period commencing on the date of purchase of your covered product, all parts and workmanship are warranted from defect or failure.

Labor: During the ninety (90) day period commencing on the date of purchase of your covered product, Phiston will pay for the cost of labor to repair or replace a warranted item, provided such service is carried out by a service provider authorized by Phiston. After this initial ninety-day period, the cost of labor to repair your covered product is NOT included under this Limited Warranty.

Extended Warranty

An optional extended warranty is available to provide an additional one or two years of warranty coverage extension of the original owner’s limited warranty that was included with the covered Phiston product that you purchased.

An extended warranty covers only the product whose name, model number, and serial number appear on the receipt for the purchased extended warranty, and for the duration purchased (one or two years).

Extended warranties must be purchased before the end of the original one-year limited warranty. For peace of mind and to avoid inadvertent lapses in coverage, we recommend purchasing extended warranties at the time of purchasing your Phiston product.

An extended warranty will extend the expiration dates of both the parts and the labor coverages of your one-year Original owner’s limited warranty to a full two years in the case of a one-year extended warranty, and a full three years in the case of a two-year extended warranty (see Figure 1 below).

Besides the extended coverage for parts, the primary benefit of an extended warranty is that it provides continuous coverage for labor, from the date of purchase of the extended warranty, up to the end of the extension. Under the original owner’s limited warranty, labor is only covered for the first 90 days of purchase (see Figure 1 below).

Note: Extended labor coverage begins ONLY when the Extended Warranty is purchased. If the extended warranty is purchased before the end of the original one-year limited warranty, but after the end of the original 90-day labor coverage, then there will be a gap in labor coverage between the expiration of the original 90-day labor coverage and the date of purchase of the extended warranty.
