Jorge Leon
Jorge Leon is a highly skilled engineering manager with a deep-seated expertise in product and equipment design, process automation, and lean manufacturing. Currently leading and expanding the engineering team at Phiston, Jorge brings a wealth of experience from his hands-on involvement in every stage of product development, from concept to completion, across a variety of industries. His specialties include Value-Added/Value Engineering, Kaizen, and resource management, making him a transformative force in engineering innovation.
Jorge launched his career with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Florida International University. Since then, he has worked with renowned industry leaders, including Cordis (Johnson & Johnson), Motorola, Security Plastics, Home Diagnostics, and Beckman Coulter/Danaher, gaining diverse experience and making significant contributions along the way.
Outside of work, Jorge enjoys immersing himself in outdoor activities such as fishing, boating, diving, and forest hiking. His inventive nature extends to his personal life, where he loves tinkering, researching, and spending time with his family and cat. Jorge’s blend of technical prowess, industry insight, and curiosity makes him a vital asset in the engineering field.
