The crusher delivers 20 tons (40,0000 lbs) of destructive forces to mangle and destroy the HDD’s magnetic data storage platters, controller, and read heads in less than 30 seconds.

The compact destroyer has a lifecycle of 50,000 usages without the need to replace or sharpen the blades and uses Phiston’s proprietary technology hydraulic crushing system. The destroyer doesn’t simply fold a hard drive or punch a few holes in it; the device crushes and demolishes every square inch of the HDD, rendering all data storage surfaces completely sanitized.

The MVC-HDD can also safely destroy cell phones, circuit boards, memory boards, and CD/DVD/Blu-Ray.
