Which Phiston Product Will Help You Crush the Competition? • Phiston Technologies

Data destruction is a fundamental part of being a good data steward. By protecting your customers’ data, you also protect your reputation as a good business partner. If your business model evolved over the course of the pandemic, you may now have unprecedented volumes of data and a need to reevaluate your data security policies. There are several Phiston products of data destruction to keep your information out of bad actors’ hands.

Hard Disk Drive (HDD) Destroyers

We offer three models of HDD destroyers, all of which have a 30-second crush cycle with 20 tons of force. Each device can also make SSDs inoperable. Read about the differences between HDDs and SSDs here. The Compact HDD Destroyer has the smallest footprint, coming in at just under two feet long. This makes it a great fit for smaller businesses with less space to devote to equipment. Our standard HDD destroyer is a few inches larger, allowing for storage of more drives before it has to be emptied. The largest model, the Rackmount HDD, can hold up to 25 destroyed drives which can only be retrieved with an authorized user’s access code.

Solid State Drive (SSD) Destroyers

Phiston Technologies offers six varieties of SSD destroyer. The Compact SSD Destroyer, which measures the same 22 inches as the Compact HDD Destroyer, pierces each SSD up to 187 times. The Compact V-Spike punctures the drive, but also sends it a 24-volt charge, disabling the components. There are Rackmount models of both these Phiston products. All SSD destroyers have the same 30-second crush cycle and 20 tons of force seen in the HDD destroyers. Our standard size SSD Destroyer is slightly larger than the compact, but uses that space to hold 80 destroyed drives to the Compact’s five. Our High Thru-Put SSD Destroyer cuts the crush cycle from 30 seconds down to three, allowing you to dispose of more than 1200 drives per hour.

Disintegrators

We also carry three types of disintegrators for other types of data storage. Our Optical and Magnetic Strip Media Disintegrator can crush up to 700 CDs per hour. It can also be used for bank cards, driver’s licenses and other sensitive items. It is the smallest of our disintegrators with the same measurements as Compact HDD Destroyer and Compact SSD Destroyer. The SSD Disintegrator can dispose of up to 144 SSDs in an hour with its auto loading feature. The SSD Disintegrator-2C is our fastest disintegrator, destroying up to 400 drives in an hour. In addition to its higher speed, it is able to handle enterprise SSDs.

In addition to these three types of products, we also offer a standalone Rackmount Degausser and a Dual Sanitizer, which crushes after degaussing.

All of our destroyers have HEPA filtration to trap any airborne particles released during the destruction of your equipment, maintaining your workplace health standards. Noise is kept to 65 decibels, well below the OSHA standard of 85 decibels. Phiston products are configured for international power supplies, so they can be used anywhere. We can also assist in ensuring your data destruction methods are compliant with industry policies and procedures. Contact us today to improve your data security practices.
